HR Business Partner

Metso’s Automation segment’s process automation and flow control solutions meet the growing needs of our customer industries to improve production process efficiency as raw materials and energy sources become scarcer and their costs climb. Our global network of service experts delivers business solutions improving productivity, lowering risks and optimizing costs for our customers.

Process Automation Systems’ main customer industries are pulp and paper and power generation. It also serves other process industries such as mining and construction and marine industry. Its products include automation and information management systems and applications, analyzers and measurement systems.

We are now looking for an HR Business Partner to support the business management by translating the business needs into people priorities and strategies. You act as key sparring partner in any HR topics, and ensure consistent HR support through our HR Services network. You are a member of the Process Automation Systems business line management team.

Your main responsibilities are:

Strategic Planning
• Participate in business strategy definition
• Translate business strategies into people priorities and plans
• Facilitate and lead in organization design, development and job structures
• Facilitate and lead change management and organizational development
• Support for all business restructuring situations

Resource Planning
• Manage and plan resourcing from long-term perspective (incl. restructuring activities)
• Senior-level recruitments
• General approval practices in relation to employee agreements
• Identify and process people related business continuity issues and risks
• Ownership of OM structure in SAP
• Define the business requirements to Center of Expertise and HR Services

Talent and Competence Management
• Develop management team (incl. coaching, mentoring)
• Assess collective learning and development needs in the business organization
• Ensure competence management and development for strategic competencies and other relevant competence areas
• Talent management for business
• Support career development and provide career counseling (support HR Services in HR consultancy role)

Total compensation and benefits and performance management
• Approve and manage exceptional cases in determination of salaries and validating pay changes and special rewards
• Manage salary budget, including both on and off cycle planning
• Compensation management; special instructions e.g. related to competencies, follow up process, bonus plans and follow-up
• Manage target cascading, target setting and performance feedback (together with unit heads and controllers)
Requirements: You have a M.Sc. degree in Business Administration or equivalent. You have five years of experience in HR and at least three years as a business partner. You are able to drive the HR performance of the business line. You possess the personal credibility to influence and direct the work of others, and to inspire loyalty. You communicate fluently in English and you are willing to travel frequently.
