As a senior member of the leadership team for WHE (Warner Home Entertainment), Nordics, this role will define and lead the commercial strategy for the region with specific functional responsibility for Marketing and Digital.The Commercial Director will have responsibility for creating and managing an outstanding “best practice” marketing function for the Nordic region. He/She will lead and manage the marketing team and take overall responsibility for driving all aspects of the marketing mix, including trade marketing, online marketing, pricing and promotions and PR. The Commercial Director will lead the digital strategy and execution for WHE Nordic, responsible for the electronic distribution streams of WHE products (DVD, Blu-Ray, Games) over existing, new and emerging digital platforms. This includes VOD, electronic sell thru, preloads, digital promotions and pay-per-view. This individual will, in conjunction with the Nordic leadership team and in line the global WHE direction, define and implement cohesive pan Nordic commercial marketing and digital plans. The ultimate goal is to maximize ROI and significantly impact revenues within the Nordic region. Ensure that sales campaigns are shared across the Nordic team• Oversee the preparation of trade presentation content• Integrate fully into sales activities in the region and ensure, by building stakeholder relationships with the global HQ and other regional offices, that commercial plans are aligned to global goalsDefine and implement a cohesive pan Nordic commercial/marketing strategy;• Overall responsibility for the strategy and execution of territory marketing plans• Manage the marketing budget and deliver plans to maximise commercial ROI. This includes responsibility for media buying, advertising and research• Develop pricing and promotion strategies in line with global guidelines• Develop and implement trade marketing plans for all releases• Establish and maintain good working relationships with other Time Warner divisions (eg HBO), develop and implement business to business marketing initiatives when appropriateEstablish a “best practice” marketing function, to introduce marketing standards of excellence;• Lead the team to become a first-class marketing organization. Improve the quality of marketing process and introduce high standards of work • Build strong working relationships with other WHE regional territories and the US HQ, in order to maximize commercial opportunities and share “best practice” protocols. Ensure that all marketing plans are in line with global WHE guidelinesLead and manage PR across the Nordics;• Develop and coordinate PR and promotional opportunities to support key releases and approve, advise and facilitate marketing concepts• Be involved in building and managing external PR relationships• Be involved in campaigns and define public policies to reduce piracy within WHE and across the home entertainment industry in the NordicsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS• Outstanding leadership skills - experience of managing and developing teams, ability to set a direction and lead from the front• Strong commercial mindset – proven ability to impact revenue growth, both in physical sales and via digital platforms. Track record of P& L ownership• Understanding of the online landscape within consumer electronics or entertainment• First-class marketing experience – proven expertise of strategic consumer marketing in a multinational company and a track record of physical and online marketing• Excellent interpersonal skills – a strong communicator, able to work with people at all levels outside and within the organization• Stakeholder management skills - ability to work within an international matrix organization and the flexibility to cope with a rapidly changing environment• Understanding of supply chain is a plus• Strong influencing skills across variable cultures and geographies• Business oriented, creative and strategic self starter• Local Nordic languages preferred
